Dropping Names

When my father started his career early on he began to have encounters and help create homes for some Vegas celebrities such as...

Liberace, which included witnessing some type of toenail clipping ritual that we'll just not discuss.

Later on KB plumbing began plumbing in homes for...

Penn (we go to the same fertility clinic!) and Teller (which involved a naked gay man hiking a mountain, we won't talk about that either),

The Scintas (probably Byron and Dad's favorite),

Chris Angel (they didn't even know it was his office),

who could forget the Killer's recording studio, very cool, and

Siegfried and Roy (post tiger attack).

So what could possibly be KB Plumbing's next venture... (scroll down to see!)

If you don't know who this is, then I can't tell you. If you do know who this is, don't ask me any questions, because I can't tell you anything either! You'll just have to wait and see! Stay tuned!

A Sports Caster, I Am Not

I could give you a play by play of the UNLV/BYU game, but that would be boring. And we already know that the outcome of the game was everything I'd hoped for. So here's my "highlight reel" of what I enjoyed best about the game.

WE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

More could be said, but right now, I'll leave it at that!

Kiss Me! I'm Irish!

I have absolutely no St. Patrick's Day decorations, and to be quite honest, I have no room or money for any. But I can fit in a banner! Here's my new banner for St. Patrick's Day!

Rebellious Request

I am surprised to see that I've had a request for my shirt! It was just printed from my computer onto an iron-on transfer, so if you want it, comment, or email me and I'll email the jpeg to you. Click here for a clear picture of the design. Rebellious Mormons unite!

A Rebellious Photo Shoot

All I wanted to do was take a picture of myself wearing my new Rebel shirt (who knew my initial post would cause such a stir!). Well, as you can see, another model wanted to get into the picture!

All My Love

When you've been married for almost 12 years, Valentine's Day is pretty much another day (and if you are the sappy romantic kind that disagrees, I don't want to hear it). But this Valentine's day was busy, in a good way. Enjoy the pictures, and the recap of our day.
  • Heart shaped french toast stuffed with cherry cream cheese, cherry smoothies
  • Two beautiful Orchids as gifts that I really hope I don't kill

  • Wyatt's sleepover at Gramma Jeri's
  • Lunch at El Jeffe's (lobster enchilada, whoa baby)
  • Helped Dad set up for their ward Valentine's Party
  • Bought a new Dyson vacuum (I know, you wish you could be this romantic)
  • Sushi, sitting one on one at a sushi bar
  • Stealing Ryan and Ginger's Rebel season tickets, and then inviting Rob and Mary (who stole our tickets) to come and sit with us at half time

Cookies? As You Wish!

Every month or so, our preschool group tries to have a field trip. Last month was bowling, this month Valentine cookies in a professional kitchen! The kids loved it. Thank you Rachel for hosting the party for a room full of toddlers and their parents! She provided the dough, the frosting, and even made us a great lunch! If anyone needs a great caterer, call As You Wish Catering. They are considering doing kid cooking classes in the summer. If they do, you should sign your child up. It was great!

Real Mormons Are Rebels!

In case you were unaware of my feelings towards BYU, please read this. I've started designing my t-shirt for the UNLV/BYU game. Thanks to Kelly B., I've chosen the perfect phrase, just a little arrogant, but not offensive. "Real Mormons Are Rebels!" My friend Sula helped me think of another saying, "My little Rebel (meaning Wyatt) beat up your big Cougar!" Though a poster might be obnoxious, I still might make that. So here's a sneak preview of the shirt. I'm sure I've broken some copyright laws making it, but that's what rebellious Mormons do, right?

Blow All You Want Wind! I've got Crafts to Make and Goodies to Eat!

With this wind, I have not stepped one foot outside my door. So in between laundry and facebook chats, Wyatt and I have been crafting in the kitchen. Chocolate dipped pretzels and homemade crayons in heart shapes to give to his preschool friends. Fun fun!

Young Women Unite!

So, despite the five gazillion things that I have to do, I've been asked to help with Girl's Camp (church thing). I need your help. The theme is Young Women University. We have to choose a value and plan a college theme around it. We're thinking about Knowledge and doing a Geek Squad theme. Any other suggestions if we have to choose another theme?

What's That Smell?

I must put off "teacher pheromones." I must put off a smell that attracts children to my vicinity. Whenever I am at the library playing with puzzles with Wyatt, kids just come up and start working on our puzzles and ask me questions. And of course the teacher in me can't ignore them, so before I know it, I have a small group of kids at my table, just like in my old classroom. Today was no exception. Wyatt and I were working on a puzzle and a little girl came up, took a puzzle piece and asked me, "Where does this go?" Poor Wyatt just looked at her as if to ask, "Where did you come from and what do you want?" All of a sudden, this sweet little girl starts to climb on my lap. That was when the mom finally decided to step in and encourage her daughter to read a story with her. Moral of the story? Moms, step in and play with your kids where ever you are. If you don't, they'll sniff out us teachers every time!

A Breakfast Conversation

Flipping through the channels while eating breakfast, A Pussycat Dolls concert came on TV, to which my intelligent child asked,
"You on that show Mama?"
To which I replied, "Absolutely honey. That's me dancing right there."
If there is someone in this world that think I look like a PussyCat Doll, I'm going to milk it for all its worth, even if that person is only 2 1/2 years old.
