I climbed Mt. Rainier...

...well, 2 1/2 miles of it, and it wasn't really the actual peak, but I'm such an experienced hiker, I didn't want our cousin Adam to look bad. He's had to climb that peak 5 gazillion times to get it right. I didn't want to show off my first time. Seriously though, it was neat the see the mountain that it so special to Byron's family. The Christoffersens have always admired the majesty of Mt. Rainier. Family members have climbed it, including Byron's father. It was beautiful to see it in person. Wyatt hiked almost the entire time, and led the group most of the time.

How Does Your Garden Grow?

Just some gorgeous flowers as we walked through the Ballard Locks grounds. So pretty. I could have spent all day there!

The Ballard Locks

The Ballard Locks are like the Panama Canal of Seattle. Beautiful boats take this canal from the bay to Washington Lake. It was fascinating to watch the boats float the upper level, not to mention watching the fish on the salmon ladder and the gorgeous grounds.

Wyatt's ready for our plane ride!

Too bad we already bought his ticket!

Happy 4th of July

It was good to get back to Parawon to celebrate the 4th of July. Here's the highlights:
  • Wyatt caught the one and only fish
  • Wyatt doing a face plant on the driveway within the first hour of being at the house. Nice flat lip and scrape.
  • Byron finished the 1,000 piece puzzle we've been working on since Christmas
  • Byron and Dad survived taking turns driving the motorcycle on the three hour trip. Byron got caught in the rain.
  • Date night with Byron to see The Proposal and have sushi
  • Sat in the hammock chairs
  • Hung out with the Leydsmans
  • THE PARADE!
  • Cuddled with Wyatt in a blanket and watched the fireworks from our backyard
  • Played with glowsticks

We're Alive

I'll admit it...I've been hiding. I still don't feel like chatting much, but I did want you to know we're alive and we do go out of the house every now and then. Here's some pictures of what we've been doing. Oh, and how do you like my new blog look? Too busy?

Wyatt designed an art show. It took him most of the morning to complete, then he presented all of his artwork to Byron when he came home from work.

Fishing, really badly

Our goal is to visit as many water parks as possible. I miss Wet n' Wild

Swim lessons, Wyatt's favorite
