Extreme Home Makeover Day 7: Byron's Job Is Done

I felt uneasy and anxious last night for Byron, even though none of the plumbers were stressed out. I guess I was for them! Wyatt and I didn't eat well for dinner, we both stayed up too late. I just needed to know that our family's part in this house was completed. And I do mean our family. Even though I didn't have a pipe in my hand, we were all involved in some way or another. This project consumed my mother's week, my grandmother's week, it affected Wyatt's schedule tremendously, we were all involved. After I managed to get Wyatt to bed, I was still agitated and put that nervous energy to good use by cleaning my disaster of a house. All household chores got put on hold this week. My kitchen counter was filled with dirty dishes (which, if you know me at all, is a HUGE pet peeve of mine, so gross, people!), laundry baskets filled overflowing with clothes needing to be folded and put away, and Wyatt's toys laid all over the place. By the time I finally went to bed, the main areas of our house were clean and in order. I felt much better.

During my cleaning rampage, Byron called. "We're Fineto! We're finished! The plumbing is done!" What a relief! Despite all the hold ups, KB Plumbing finished their job on time. Thank Heavens! Final inspection is being held as I type this. I'm letting Wyatt sleep in, then we'll head over to the house for the big reveal. I need to teach Wyatt how to say, "Move That Bus!" And yes, there will be pictures!

Thanks for all your comments, guys! I mainly just wrote all of this to document it for our family, but I'm thrilled you have been enjoying it and following it as well.

Here's another news cast. Byron is in it about 35 seconds into the clip!
