My mother, grandmother, and I headed out to be volunteers at the food tent. I left Wyatt with a babysitter and went to do our part to support the project. There wasn't any work for us to do at first, so we headed down to the VIP tent where Byron was. We spent the rest of the day there! I checked on the food tent a couple of times, and they had so many people. So we helped in the VIP tent instead. The problem? People know that I'm willing to make a fool out of myself. Sweet Anjuli comes up to her sister and me and says "My dad wants us to keep the spectators yelling and cheering for these workers. Sommer, go get them riled up!" Who's the dad? That would be Brent Wright, of Wright Engineers, and my bishop. Dang it! So I was off, running in front of strangers, getting them to scream and cheer. Needless to say, Byron was embarrassed, as usual. I even made friends with the architect because of my big mouth.
I'm sure you're sad to find out Byron was not on the news today. I know that you are all waiting on the edge of your seats to catch a glimpse of his mug. But he was half asleep on the couch in the VIP tent. You'll have to settle for my pictures instead!
Oh my goodness! I almost forgot, they have our banner up! It has our big KB Plumbing logo that Byron and I designed just for Extreme Home Makeover, seeing as how we didn't have a logo before! It was a neat moment for us!
