A Peaceful Weekend

Its become a little tradition to head up to Parawon for Spring General Conference.  And since our family are very much fair weather skiers, a few runs up at Brianhead are usually involved.  The weather did not disappoint and so my parents, Byron, and Wyatt headed up the mountain for probably the last skiing of the season.  As usual, Wyatt tore up the mountain!  I called at one point and Byron answers right as they got off the ski lift.  I asked how was Wyatt doing to which Byron replied, "He's doing great.  In fact he just skied past me and is headed down the mountain.  I should probably go catch up!"

Aren't they so handsome?  I love my boys!
The weekend was really peaceful for me.  I needed a change of atmosphere.  I needed to stop worrying about this pregnancy.  I needed to stop worrying about anything or anyone, just for a bit.  It may sound funny, but my car from high school helped me do just that.  My Suzuki Sidekick from high school lives up in Parawon, and I asked my dad to get it out so that Da Vinci and I would have an easier time getting in and out and going for drives.  With blue skies, and the top pulled back on the sidekick, I loaded up the car with three dogs and my big belly, and drove old dirt roads listening to the kind of music I would have listened to when I was 16.  It gave me a chance to just breathe.  All thanks to a little blue car.
