I have never been a fan of Thanksgiving. Being an only child and not really having a relationship with my cousins or extended family, holidays like Thanksgiving were kind of boring. You sat at a table with all adults, and ate lots of food. Whoopdeedoo. Even as an adult, binging on bland turkey and soggy stuffing was not my idea of a good time (sorry to my family members who have cooked in years past). This year is different though. For some reason, I am really excited for Thanksgiving. I think its because I am having it at my house this year. I feel like I have a purpose this Thanksgiving, where before I was basically just told when to show up and to "bring the rolls." By nature, I am a planner. So this Thanksgiving' menu has been planned in my mind for about a month now. And we're having Prime Rib, dang it! Not bland dry turkey like what you'll be having, so have have fun with that!

Good for you dude! I've never been a huge Thanksgiving fan either, but unlike you I had a bajillion cousins/family members and we had the hassle every year of making it to 3 or 4 family get-togethers in one day. I feel your pain in a similar but different way.
