Oh How Lovely Was the Morning!

Byron is currently on a week long trip with the Priests group (16 to 18 year old boys) from our church. They have all these adventurous things planned like horseback riding and a rope course. They are traveling through Salt Lake City and then up to Idaho. This morning they spent in Temple Square and had a spiritual adventure that they will never forget! They had spent the morning listening to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and watching the movie at the Joseph Smith Building. They were wandering the grounds waiting for sacrament meeting (church). Doug Robison asked a gentleman to take a group picture. He then began speaking with him, why the boys were there, etc. The man excused himself, went around the corner for a moment, and came running back, stating that he was Elder Bednar's son and would the group like to have a personal visit with Elder Bednar. Elder Bednar is one of our General Authorities or leaders of our church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Needlesstosay, they did not attend church, they had a special version of church that day. Elder Bednar spoke with them, let them ask questions, and then, as you can see, took pictures with them. Byron said it was a very moving experience, and he cried a little on the phone Because that's what my adorable softie of a husband does, when there is a good reason, of course!
