I have waxed poetic about Bass Pro Christmas village quite often to my friends, and today, it is no different. While other Christmas events involve terrible parking and outrageous entry fees, which you feel guilty for not paying because it is for a "good cause," I like to go to safe, indoor Bass Pro to celebrate the holidays. They have an entire Christmas village where we drove RC trucks, played bass fishing on the Wii, shot arcade guns, and walked right up to see SANTA! He was an awesome Santa too. He was quiet and gentle, and made Wyatt feel like he was the only child in the world! The picture with Santa was FREE and they let me take as many of my own pictures as I wanted. It was a sweet, magical experience that made me want to cry! This is the first year Wyatt has "gotten" the concept of Santa. He's not a big scary man with a beard anymore. We wrote Santa a letter and put it in the special mailbox. Then Santa just sat with Wyatt and quietly visited with him. After the pictures, we played all the games, and then had dinner at the buffet. It was a simple, wonderful night! Thanks Santa!
