I must put off "teacher pheromones." I must put off a smell that attracts children to my vicinity. Whenever I am at the library playing with puzzles with Wyatt, kids just come up and start working on our puzzles and ask me questions. And of course the teacher in me can't ignore them, so before I know it, I have a small group of kids at my table, just like in my old classroom. Today was no exception. Wyatt and I were working on a puzzle and a little girl came up, took a puzzle piece and asked me, "Where does this go?" Poor Wyatt just looked at her as if to ask, "Where did you come from and what do you want?" All of a sudden, this sweet little girl starts to climb on my lap. That was when the mom finally decided to step in and encourage her daughter to read a story with her. Moral of the story? Moms, step in and play with your kids where ever you are. If you don't, they'll sniff out us teachers
every time!
